The UAE’s Ministry of Interior has warned the general public against responding to suspicious phone calls and messages that they receive from people claiming to update the user’s personal data in the Ministry of Interior’s system.
In a tweet, the Ministry says that the scammers also request to provide them with the information contained in a text message (OTP).
The Ministry of Interior confirms that the official authorities do not ask the public to update their data via text messages, and calls upon the public to deal with caution with any suspicious communications or text messages.
