Abu Dhabi authorities on Thursday announced a number of traffic rules for the New Year holidays, including road closures and a ban on heavy vehicles.
Bridges on Al Maryah Island — one of the major venues for NYE celebrations — will be closed on both directions from December 31 until January
Smart systems will be used in order to provide more traffic control during this period, according to the authorities.
