UAE petrol prices increase by 5% as diesel rates fall

The UAE has announced the cost of petrol for May 2023

The prices of Super 95, Super 98 and E-Plus will all increase, while diesel will fall.

The price changes were announced on Emarat’s official Twitter account.

Petrol prices in the UAE

Prices were frozen by the Fuel Price Committee due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. The controls were later removed in March 2021 to align with rising oil prices globally.

Moreover, petrol prices are also affected by an increase in crude oil prices across the world.
