The fastest growing job titles sought out for in the UAE and Saudi Arabia are in the sales, technology, sustainability and human resource industries, a new data from LinkedIn has revealed.
Job role titles often include back-end developer, sales representative, environment manager, and human resource operations specialist.
The data particularly noted that the demand for tech roles have risen as both countries undergo digital transformation. It is also due to the “growing emphasis on data and automation in the region,” the data said.
Of the top 10 roles in Saudi Arabia, four roles were those in the cybersecurity, data analysis, and software development-related specialties.
UAE also saw a rise in developer roles, with three out of the top 10 jobs being in software development.
Remote working on the rise in UAE
The data also revealed that remote jobs are on the rise again in the UAE.
“Hiring in the UAE slowed during December 2022, with a 10.1 percent decrease in hiring compared to the same month the year before, which saw a significant post-pandemic hiring surge. Nevertheless, hiring in December 2022 was still significantly higher than it was in 2020 (37.1 percent),” the LinkedIn data said.
The data added: “The UAE has also shown a month-on-month growth in remote job postings, 27.7 percent in December, a figure that is one of the highest among the European, Middle Eastern, and African (EMEA) markets such as the United Kingdom (-1.6percent), Germany (-10.5 percent), and France (-21.6 percent).
