Twenty private schools in Dubai were rated ‘outstanding’ in the latest round of school inspections conducted by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).
KHDA released the latest figures on Monday, which showed about 199 schools were inspected.
Around 25 schools showed improved performance from the previous inspection in 2019.
“Private schools in Dubai are known for their commitment to quality and continuous improvement,” said Dr Abdulla Al Karam, director general of the KHDA.
“This year’s results show that thousands more students have access to better quality teaching and learning, a sign of the dedication and expertise of teachers and school leaders.
“We are grateful to the whole education community for supporting our schools to be among the best in the world.”
According to recent inspection results by the KHDA, 77 percent of students in Dubai now attend private schools that have been rated as ‘Good’ or higher, which is an improvement from the 70 percent recorded during the last inspection cycle in the 2018-19 academic year.
These results have been released at a time when parents are making decisions about re-enrolling their children for the next academic year, giving them the necessary information to make informed choices, the KHDA website reads.
