Pakistan Cricket Online Coach – 4 years after sacking, Mickey Arthur will return to Pakistan Cricket, but on his own terms. As per reports in Pakistani media, the Australian has agreed to coach Pakistan online. He won’t be present for all series and will only travel when he feels it is necessary. He will only coach Babar Azam & Co online. With that, he becomes World Cricket’s first full-time “ONLINE” coach.
With Saqlain Mushtaq’s contract expiring, Najam Sethi-led Pakistan Cricket Board was desperate to hire Arthur back. Arthur was reluctant as he recently signed a contract with Derbyshire County Cricket Club. However, it is not clear whether Arthur will be a full time head coach or a consultant.
Arthur has finally agreed to coach Pakistani team following multiple requests by PCB. Earlier, Arthur refused to come on board. As per Pakistani media, Arthur may not be available for marquee tournaments like Asia Cup 2023. However, he has promised to be on the ground for the World Cup 2023 in India. His contract will run till the ODI World Cup in October.
