Panel discussion within the “UAE Innovates 2023” activities discusses future directions towards “Metaverse” technology

Maj. Gen. Dr. Abdul Quddus Abdul Razzaq Al Obaidli, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Excellence and Leadership Affairs, Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, President of the MBRSG, and Eng. Mazen Mahmoud Abed Rabbo, Director of Government Digital Transformation for the Middle East and Africa at Microsoft International, and Professor Dr. Omar Al-Fandi, Acting Dean of the College of Technical Innovation at Zayed University.

At the beginning of the session, Maj. Gen. Al Shamsi emphasized in a speech that the UAE is keen to see and support its wise leadership to adopt the best international, distinguished and pioneering practices, encourage innovation and modern ideas that raise performance levels, and establish a culture of innovation in the work environment.

He pointed out that innovation is a fundamental axis of institutional work, and an important engine in developing proactive solutions to challenges, as the UAE continued its regional leadership in the Global Innovation Index for the year 2022, and advanced two additional ranks to rank (31) globally, and first in the Arab world for the seventh year in a row.

He stressed that the Ministry of Interior is keen within the directions of the UAE government to implement and support innovative practices, and encourage cadres to implement and implement the best development proposals through an integrated work methodology to achieve future goals, and improve the police and security work system.
