About 80,000 tons; a lot as 72% of waste which has been collected from venues of the FIFA World Cup 2022, which was used to be held in Qatar have now been isolated into organic, plastic, metal, digital, and cardboard. 

The excess waste will reportedly be shipped off to the Service of District’s Homegrown Strong Waste Administration Community for additional treatment in a waste-to-energy plant.

Minister of Municipality in Qatar, H.E. Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie made these remarks, while addressing an event organized through the Ministry of Municipality at Al Rayan Park on Wednesday.

At the moment, the Minister has honored a variety of employees and teams from different departments of the Ministry at the tournament for their exceptional performances and devoted offerings in helping the World Cup 2022 to bring about to success.

The activity which was propelled by the Service of Region with a zero squander to landfill objective is portion of gigantic endeavors of the State to convey the foremost feasible and carbon-neutral FIFA World Cup.
